It provides a seamless microwave transmission solution for mobile communication network or private networks.Product DescriptionOptiX RTN 950The OptiX RTN 950 provides a generic platform for TDM/Hybrid/Packet/Route microwave transmission, meeting the backhaul requirements of varied wireless networks.● In 2G/3G mobile backhaul networks, the OptiX RTN 950 works in Hybrid or Packet mode and is typically deployed at the access and convergence layer. The equipment supports ring protection and can aggregate services from multiple directions. Figure 1-1 shows the Hybrid/Packet microwave transmission solution provided by the OptiX RTN 950.NOTE:The OptiX RTN 950 supports a wide range of interfaces and service bearer technologies, and is therefore compatible with varied backhaul networks. The system consists of the IDU 950 and the ODU. Each ODU is connected to the IDU 950 through an IF cable.IDU 950The IDU 950 is the indoor unit for an OptiX RTN 950 system. In this situation, if one ODU is configured for one antenna, the ODU is directly mounted at the back of the antenna. If two ODUs are configured for one antenna, an RF signal combiner/splitter (hence referred to as a hybrid coupler) must be mounted to connect the ODUs to the antenna. Figure 1-4 illustrates the direct mounting method.● The direct mounting method can also be adopted when a small- or medium-diameter and dual-polarized antenna is used. Two ODUs are mounted onto an antenna using an orthomode transducer (OMT).
